Resume Writing Workshop


A resume is a brief account of a person’s education, qualifications, and previous relevant experience. A well-written resume is essential to securing an interview in the job application process. Saved Hands Foundation (SHF) offers a monthly resume writing workshop, taught by Pamela Wright, SHF CEO to people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds who are committed to gaining stable employment. There is also the opportunity for resume preparation and or critiques.

This workshop teaches:

  • the real purpose of a resume

  • to identify relevant competencies for a specific prospective position

  • how to write a strong summary/objective statement

  • how to send a resume through social media

  • how to write an accompanying cover letter

Each student is provided with a valuable book filled with resume examples.
